Genting Hotel & Spa, Resorts World Birmingham

Birmingham (NEC) · a four-star spa hotel at Resorts World
A modern four-star hotel with a spa, wrapped into Resorts World beside the NEC, with Genting International Casino — the UK's largest casino — inside the same complex. Scale and comfort under one roof.

How We Judge

What makes a stay feel truly plush.

I

The casino it pairs with

How good the paired casino is — the tables, the members' rooms and the slots — and whether it sits inside the hotel or a short walk away. We say which, plainly.

II

The rooms

The comfort and character of the rooms and suites, and whether the hotel is a proper destination rather than just a bed near a floor.

III

Setting & extras

The location, the dining, the spa and the view — everything around the stay that turns a night out into a weekend.

IV

Reach & value

How easy the hotel is to get to, and whether the whole night feels worth the money once you add it all up.

Side by Side

All five plush stays, side by side.

Good to Know

Plush casino-hotel questions.

Which is the most plush casino-hotel in the UK?

In our view it is The Park Tower Knightsbridge — a five-star tower by Hyde Park with the Park Tower Casino inside — which is why it tops our ranking. Comfort and setting are a matter of taste, so treat the order as our honest opinion.

Are these venues really 18+?

Yes. Casinos in the UK are strictly 18+ — 18 is the legal minimum age to gamble here — and photo ID is checked at the door. You can still stay at the hotels at any age, but the gaming floor is adults-only.

Is the casino always inside the hotel?

No, and we are honest about it. Only a couple of stays here — The Park Tower Knightsbridge and Genting at Resorts World Birmingham — have the casino inside the building. For the rest, the casino is a short walk away, and we say so for each hotel.

Do you run a casino or take bookings?

No. Piccadilly & Plush is an independent editorial guide. We take no bookings, hold no money and run no gaming — every rating here is simply our own opinion.

How do you score the hotels?

We judge each stay on four measures — the paired casino, the rooms, the setting and extras, and reach and value — and score out of ten. Details change, so confirm current facts with the hotel and the casino before you travel.

A plush night stays a treat.

However plush the surroundings, a casino-hotel should be entertainment first. We only suggest playing within your means — and every venue here is strictly 18+, with ID checked at the door.
